Adinkra Symbol Paintin Fine Art aus Ghana, "Gesicht der Kultur"

Tetteh Mpata celebrates Ghana's cultural legacy by sharing some Adinkra symbols through his art. Adinkra symbols were originally created by the Akan people and they represent spiritual concepts or aphorisms. Mpata includes duafe (wood comb) to represent desirable feminine qualities, akoma (heart) reminds of the importance of patience and tolerance while akoben (war horn) suggests vigilance and wariness. Fihankra (house) symbolizes safety and protection while fofo (yellow flowered plant) warns against jealousy and envy. Like its name suggests, adinkrahene is chief of all adinkra symbols and represents greatness, charisma and leadership. Meaning "by God's grace," nyame nti encourages to have faith and trust in God.
